The Fund makes grants to the Emma Jean Mader Scholarship for University of Wyoming students majoring in Education who have graduated from a Wyoming High School and lived in Wyoming for 4 years. The Emma Jean Mader Scholarship is awarded yearly.

The Fund makes grants to Boy Scout Troop 122 sponsored by the Methodist Men of the First United Methodist Church of Los Alamos, New Mexico where Dr. Mader was Scoutmaster for 12 years during which 48 Scouts earned the rank of Eagle Scout. The history of the troop during those years is available at

The Fund makes grants to the Mader Scholarship for Hawaii Pacific University students majoring in Oceanography and are U.S. citizens. The Mader Scholarship has been awarded yearly since it was established in 1989.
